Our New Review Format & Splatoon

Reviews are still coming. We got Splatoon launch day and that will be our next review. You should probably expect it June 6 or 7. We need to finish the story mode first. We'll also be doing regular videos on Splatoon up until then.

Reviews will now feature both my brother and my opinions. They will be split into topics (or modes of the game). Here's what Splatoon will look like:

What to Expect from our Latest Feature: Assassin's Creed III Guide / Walkthrough (And Polls)

For now, the main game we'll be focusing on is Assassin's Creed III. The game follows Native American Assassin Connor Kenway who fights to defend his homeland during the American Revolution. His main goal is to wipe out the Templar Order led by his father, Haytham, who are trying to maintain peace in the colonies by taking control.

This is set to be our most in-depth guide yet and it will all be performed by my brother (who I previously referred to as my co-op buddy).

Thanks to one of my favorite YouTubers, packattack04082, I have determined that a guide / walkthrough works best when there is no distracting and at times annoying commentary. That is reserved for a Let's Play. This is not a Let's Play! Here's what to expect:

• a complete walkthrough of the entire story mode including the present-day Desmond Miles missions (NOTE: full synchronization is so far not going to be one of our main goals during this guide / walkthrough)
• homestead missions will be performed throughout the story and not at the very end of the walkthrough--all homestead missions will be shown
• the same goes for naval missions; the main naval missions involving Templar Nicholas Biddle will be completed by the end of the story as well as any alternate ones
• liberation missions will be shown at the end of the walkthrough
• we have not yet decided if we will include capturing all of the forts but if we do, it will be in a montage and not in an hour-long video of us trying to find them
• each part will include more than one mission (part 2 was an exception as the mission featured in that part is approximately 21 minutes long) and will be named according to the main mission featured in the part (ex.: part 1 featured both Refresher Course and A Deadly Performance but was simply named A Deadly Performance). Each part is set to be 20 minutes (15 at the least) to 30 minutes at the most
• as the location for the Animus Hacks is different for everyone, we will not feature a video of us trying to find them but will instead feature a video explaining them, narrated by my brother (who reviewed Assassin's Creed III)
• all memory corridors, all Animus Hacks, all leap of faiths, (possibly) all fort captures, and all naval missions are set to be some of the compilation videos featured in this guide / walkthrough
• we are not entirely sure but we may or may not release a video showcasing the entire story mode of Assassin's Creed III as we did with Injustice: Gods Among Us. This will be a huge undertaking (Injustice's story is only 3 hours long; AC3's is much, much longer) so we're not yet certain this will happen
• you should probably anticipate all of the cutscenes for the game being released in one large movie video similar to Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The Movie, which recently passed 1 million views and is now the most successful video on my channel
• 2 parts will be released everyday with a few exceptions. After all, I am usually a bit busy with school and all that so don't always expect one (no parts will be uploaded on the date of this post)

I'm Not Dead

Guys, I am so sorry I haven't been uploading. My capture card hasn't been working at all and it's been very laggy. I've cleared up a lot of space on my laptop and it seems to be running perfectly now. I've uploaded the first two parts of my new and improved Assassin's Creed III walkthrough which is set to be a complete guide for nearly everything in the game including naval missions, homestead missions, and liberation missions.

I do plan to review Hyrule Warriors at some point but I'm busy working on the walkthrough so that'll take a bit of time.

I hope to start doing discussions at some point (see my last post) and at this point it will probably be about Splatoon and everything that was in the Direct and such. If not, there will be one about our reactions to E3 2015 this June.

I'm surprised my channel's been getting more subscribers despite my frequent breaks at posting videos and my apparent "in-commitment" to the channel. School is just really demanding at this time of the year (you know, thousands of projects and that kind of stuff). I'd really like you fans (because chances are, you're on this site because you enjoy my content) to request to request some videos. Who knows, maybe I'll take another shot at a Q&A?

I do have something going on tomorrow so I'm going to try to upload two parts of the guide / walkthrough for Assassin's Creed III each day starting on Tuesday. I'm also going to do an "all tracks" video for Mario Kart 8. I have a feeling most of you aren't going to want to sit through that so I've decided to do it on 200cc so it'll be faster.

Discussions Incoming!

If you've watched GameXplain, WiiFolderJosh, and Nintendo Voice Chat, you know what I'm talking about. Our channel will now feature discussion with both my co-op buddy and I. I am looking forward to these discussions and I just tested out my iPhone earbuds (yes, that is what we use) and it works!

Our first discussion will focus on Wii U Third-Party Support and it will be coming tomorrow. By the way, you might want to check out the first part of our Hyrule Warriors story walkthrough called Part 1: Hyrule Field.

D.B. Video Reviews and Tips & Tricks

As you've hopefully noticed, our review of Mario Kart 8 has just gone live. I'll keep the score I gave it a secret. I was originally thinking I would post a review every day for some time but they have proved to be roughly a day and a half to make, if you're including the closed captioning I add. I might start doing it either once a week or once every five days. My co-op buddy will also be doing some reviews. Expect reviews of Hyrule Warriors and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U soon.

We'll also be doing our new Tips & Tricks series which will guide you through particularly hard parts in games. Recently, I've been replaying Super Mario Galaxy 2 so you can expect some Tips & Tricks guides for that game. There are also some though sequences in Assassin's Creed III which my co-op buddy will guide you through. Our first Tips & Tricks video will be going live today along with our Mario Kart 8 DLC tracks videos.

Channel Change-Up

I haven't posted a video since December 2014 in case you haven't noticed. My Elgato Capture Card has been going through a "tough time," if that's what you'd like to call it. I've decided my channel is in need of a MAJOR OVERHAUL.

From now on, the YouTube channel will feature mainly Nintendo games with third-party titles as a special bonus. Keep in mind that since I do not even make money from this in the first place, the Nintendo Creators Program will not apply to me and I will do any games I want instead of the games on that list.

I hope my capture card is working after taking a two-month break as I plan to upload many Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. Wii U videos this week. I have a free week so expect many videos for this new 2015 change-up. As part of this overhaul, I have changed my channel banner.

Update + Smash

Unfortunately, Hyrule Warriors had to be delayed because I was so engaged in Smash 3DS. I'll most likely be getting that next month. However, I was able to get the first pack of Mario Kart 8's DLC. I was attempting to record it but my capture card was messing up so I'm gonna test it again tomorrow.

I also got Smash Wii U today so expect videos on that tomorrow! My co-op buddy purchased Assassin's Creed III and it is set to be the first M-rated game featured on the channel (viewer discretion is advised). I expect to get LEGO Batman 3 next week but I'm not sure if videos'll go up soon.

Hyrule Warriors Note

There has been a change of plans with the last update. I have decided that I will only be getting Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS on October 3rd in order to have more time for the Batman: Arkham City walkthrough. Please understand.

Hyrule Warriors material will be sometime during mid to late October.

Q4 2014 Update

I know most of you have been wondering why I have stopped uploading. Not to worry, I've just been taking a bit of a long break. I've been catching up with Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. 4 news so that's caused a ruckus. Thankfully, I have started re-uploading videos today!

Some of you may have noticed my Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U Soundtrack videos. I might continue uploading this but I'm not positive. For now, I'd like to focus on videos of Wii U games that my viewers will like.

For this reason, my co-op buddy will be doing a walkthrough of Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition. The first two parts will be uploaded today for sure. Be sure to keep a look out for Part 1: Terror in Arkham City and Part 2: Two-Face's Judgement.

I have a feeling that most of my viewers were shocked when I didn't upload Super Smash Bros. Brawl: All Final Smashes back in April 2013 when I was doing videos for that game. The thing is (and this may sound ridiculous to you) I didn't know you could summon the Smash Ball in Training! So I've finally uploaded it today. Some of you have probably been waiting for it for a long time.

We're approaching October fast which means we are close to the final three months (also known as Q4) of the year. So here's some updates:

I have already pre-ordered Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and I believe it will be coming out November 21st. As my birthday is November 29th, I will probably actually be playing it around that time. Expect a character unlocking guide, some classic mode/online gameplay, and much, much more related to this spectacular upcoming game.

The release date for Hyrule Warriors is coming up fast and it's going to be released this Friday! I decided to preorder SSB4 instead of this game but not to worry. I plan to get this Zelda spin-off title the same day that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS comes out. Expect some gameplay and a walkthrough of the game around October 3rd. If the game is still in stock at my local GameStop, that is.

You may already know this, but I purchased the retail edition of Wii Sports Club a while back so I plan on doing some videos of the sports I haven't done yet: Baseball and Boxing. Wii Party U is still massively under-represented on my channel so I may return to that game at some point this year. Unfortunately, I am not going to be doing any more Game & Wario videos as most of the mini-games require the Gamepad to be shown.

I've done many LEGO game walkthroughs in the past so as you can tell, I am a huge LEGO game fan. Unfortunately for me, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is coming out around the same day as SSB for Wii U. However, I may get this game for my birthday. I will be doing SSB videos before LEGO Batman 3 though so expect some videos of the game in December.

While we haven't had any information on the game in a while, I still believe that Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be coming out this holiday season. I hope to do a walkthrough of this game and I may get it for Christmas. This game will be getting a chance to shine on my channel sometime after LEGO Batman 3.

Mario Kart 8 has recently got some DLC announced for it. One pack is coming in November and one pack is coming in May. I still haven't got a chance to pre-order these packs but hopefully I will at some point. Either way, I plan to do videos of this soon. Also, my co-op buddy and I have been thinking about doing a Batman: Arkham Origins walkthrough shortly after we finish Arkham City but it's not set in stone yet. I'm also openly taking requests for videos on SSBB. I'd also like to address that I still haven't done the S.T.A.R. Lab videos for Injustice: Gods Among Us. I may do some of these during the Arkham City walkthrough.

Party Time!

I am pleased to say that I have recorded all the remaining Injustice: Gods Among Us videos. These include All Stage Transitions as well as Batgirl, Scorpion, and General Zod Gameplay. I believe that Battle Mode Gameplay is pretty much a pointless video...but S.T.A.R. Labs are not forgotten. I think I will be able to do more than just the Superman ones (no matter how dumb the story and no matter how hard they are). However, it'll be a little bit until you see those videos.

Moving on to the reason that this blog entry is called Party Time, I have recently got Game & Wario from Club Nintendo Platinum Awards. I will be doing videos on this game starting tomorrow along with Wii Party U. Both of these games I thoroughly enjoy and I look forward to finally doing some more multiplayer games, which my channel has been lacking for a while. During this time, I will also be uploading the S.T.A.R. Labs. You can be sure that not all the S.T.A.R. Labs for every character will be available on my channel, as some of them are EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.

After these party videos, I will continue Mario Kart 8 and will host a tournament. Please be patient.

NOTE ABOUT LOBO: Unfortunately, NetherRealm Studios felt like they had to make Lobo give his opponent an obscene hand gesture during both his Super Move and his S.T.A.R. Lab missions. They also seem to think blurring out said gesture is "okay." Due to this, I have not purchased the Lobo DLC character but have purchased Batgirl, Scorpion, and Zod instead. He will not be seen on any of my channel videos. Thank you for understanding and please look forward to the above videos.

July 2014 Update

As you have noticed, we have begun a walkthrough for Injustice: Gods Among Us on our Wii U. We currently have the chapters for Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and The Joker up. The response to this walkthrough has been positive so far and I thank my viewers for that. I am trying to speed up the walkthrough and do more parts so I will have the "all cutscenes/movie" video ready by the time we have 3,000 subscribers! We have less than 20 to go so please keep supporting my channel! I also plan to do something related to Injustice for my 700 video mark as well. The walkthrough will continue as scheduled and will probably be finished early next week.

You may have noticed I have stopped my Mario Kart 8 OST. I may continue this at some point but for now, you should check out channels such as Yoshi's VGM and JezDayy. The Nintendo Digital Event Recaps are going to have to be severely delayed, if I do them at all so "please understand."

I also plan to host a Mario Kart 8 tournament at some point after we finish the Injustice walkthrough so stay tuned for more news.

E3 2014 Nintendo Digital Event Recaps

After I do the Mario Kart 8 track runthroughs (I have recorded the Star and Special Cups and will be uploading them both today and tomorrow; the retro cups will be up by the end of next week), I will be recording the E3 2014 Nintendo Digital Event from the eShop and will do recap videos of the games featured in it.

I did this previously with a Nintendo Direct in 2013 and with the Smash Bros. Direct earlier this year. After I do that, I will be uploading the full Mario Kart 8 soundtrack while my co-op buddy continues the LEGO City Undercover walkthrough.

Sorry for the hiatus on the LEGO City Undercover and Super Mario 3D World walkthroughs but I have just purchased the amazing Mario Kart 8! I have unlocked all the characters and went through all the courses at least once. Please expect videos of this awesome game tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.
